Craps Rules and Plans

Craps

Craps seems like a hard to learn game, and it certainly can be, however you don’t have to understand all of the rules to compete in it well and receive a good return. If you stick with the common wagers with a low casino edge and don’t wager when you are not assured what it is you are wagering on and its odds.

By betting on the pass line and purchasing odds you can wager with virtually no casino edge. This almost makes the phrase ‘betting’ invalid if you think about it.

Pass Line

The contest starts by making a wager on the Pass or Don’t Pass before the Come Out roll. If a seven or eleven is rolled first you come away with a win and 2, 3, or 12 will result in you loosing if you place a bet on pass. The reverse is accurate if you place a bet on Do not Pass. With the exception of 12 is a tie if you wager Do not Pass. Most everyone lay money on Pass, so if you choose Don’t Pass, do not attract attention to yourself, especially if you come away with a win. If you come away with a win that means everyone else just was defeated, and are not going to take kindly to flaunting. Should any number other than 2, three, seven, eleven or 12 be rolled first, that number becomes the point. Do not place a bet on the Pass line after the Come Out toss, it is legal, but the odds are against you.

Purchasing the Odds

In order to take control of the wager with almost no casino advantage, you must initially wager on the Pass Line. Next you are able to bet a multiple (based on the casino) of your Pass wager that the point will be rolled prior to a 7. based on the number of the point, you can win up to 2:1.

Gambling along these basic lines will give you with a real chance of coming out a winner. Add the excitement that the craps always appears to generate and the only way to lose is not to play.
