Don’t Have an Alcoholic Beverage … Bet

[ English ]

If you prefer to indulge in a drink every now and then, leave your money at home if you plan to do your consuming in a poker room. I am serious. Empty your pocketbook, your wallet, and keep all money, credit cards and checks at home. Take just the cash you are planning to use on drinks, tipping and whatever pocket change you plan on loosing and keep the remainder behind.

Contemptuous? Not at all. Realistic more like. You might well experience a win after a boozy night out with your buddies and be lucky enough to hit a marathon roll at a smokin craps table. Hold on to that adventure because it’s as short-lived as it gets if you constantly drink and wager. The two just don’t mix.

Leaving your money at home is a little excessive, however, preventative actions for drastic actions is relative and necessary. If you compete to succeed, then don’t drink and wager. If you are able to manage to throw away your money without a second thought, then drink all the no charge alcohol your gut can handle, but do not take credit cards and checks to toss into the combination of going after losses once your drunk as a skunk brain loses everything!
